My inaugural test post

I am a freelance filmmaker. My specialty is being a one man crew. I produce, shoot and cut everything I make. Recently, I finished a documentary about Philmont Scout Ranch, for which I backpacked with a group for 11 days and filmed them. More at: www.PhilmontMovie.com. This has led me to my current endeavor which is producing inspirational short content videos for REI. Over the next year or so I hope to be traveling with my film equipment to remote areas to capture people backpacking, cycling, paddling, etc… I also hope to undertake different projects in different genres such as music videos, documentaries and so forth. I hope to also produce a third album with my band, The Tobasco Donkeys and get some children’s books self-published on iPad and Kindle. And maybe, just maybe- finally finish that screenplay. It’s an exciting time in my life.

I will post my travels, insights, and experiences here. I have never been good at keeping up with social media mainly because I feel that I really need to have something useful to share to make it worth anybody’s time reading. My hopes are that sharing my experiences may be beneficial and educational to others- or at least entertaining. Finally, I will also be looking to you to learn, because I don’t have it all figured out. I hope that I never will. Because that’s the fun part.
